As a Controller Consultant for a non-profit organization, you will play a pivotal role in managing day-to-day financial operations. This position is perfect for someone who excels in hands-on environments and can swiftly evaluate existing processes to enhance streamlined, accurate reporting and financial support. **The role requires 3 days onsite in Santa Ana, CA.**

+ Lead a dynamic team of 7-8 staff members, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.

+ Leverage emotional intelligence (EQ) to effectively manage and support staff, emphasizing the principles of servant leadership.

+ Oversee the month-end close process and consolidate financials for 40-50 charities, each treated as a distinct entity, demonstrating high-volume expertise.

+ Possess in-depth experience with deferred revenue; familiarity with grants is beneficial, though grant accounting experience is not required.

+ Experience with restricted assets is advantageous.

+ Develop and maintain accurate cash forecasts.

+ Collaborate seamlessly across all organizational levels to promote a cohesive and productive atmosphere.

+ Bachelor’s Degree or other Advanced Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required.

+ Experience with deferred revenue; familiarity with grants is advantageous, though grant accounting experience is not required.

+ Requires a high level of oversight to ensure consistency in accounting practices and accuracy in reporting.

+ Experience with restricted assets is advantageous. Thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with complex accounting requirements.

+ Proven ability to assess departments and teams while maintaining a strategic, big-picture perspective.

+ Variety of workplace arrangements including hybrid, remote, onsite.

+ Compensation commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market, and operational factors.

+ Pay Range: $75-$90/hr. (DOE)
