    Responsibilities

    Singer Equipment, the largest foodservice equipment and supplies distributor in the mid-Atlantic region, is hiring experienced full time local Day Shift Driver/Warehouse Workerto join their warehouse team.

     

    + LOCAL routes only! No Weekends!

    + Drive/operate box truck to transport orders between customer locations.

    + Manually handle equipment from pallets and load to hand truck to transport customer orders into the facility.

    + Utilize palletjack to move pallets of product to and from truck to delivery location.

    + Communicate with customer and/or supervisor using handheld devices.

    + Conduct daily inspection of truck prior to departure and arrival

    + Manually break down freight and receive into computer system.

    + Put away product utilizing powered industrial equipment.

    + Perform tasks in a safe manner and comply with company policies and procedures.

    + Proactively identify and report workplace hazards.

    + Assist with warehouse activities when a delivery route is not scheduled.

     

    Ideal Candidate Will Possess the Following Skills and Abilities

     

    + Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

    + Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, kneel, reach, squat and bend during an assigned shift.

    + Clean driving history

    + Pass DOT Medical and Physical Examination and other clearances

    + Excellent Customer Service and communication skills

    + Safety oriented

    + Able to follow predetermined routing/directions

    + Works well in a team environment and with minimal supervision

     

    Work Location: Paterson, NJ

     

    Compensation: $23/hr
