Spirit AeroSystems designs and builds aerostructures for both commercial and defense customers. With headquarters in Wichita, Kansas, Spirit operates sites in the U.S., U.K., France and Malaysia. Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities:

+ Implements fabrication, assembly, or installation manufacturing plans by coordinating with suppliers, engineering, and manufacturing teams.

+ Knowledge to develop tooling, interchangeability, replacement, and functional test plans.

+ Using the established manufacturing process flow, defines sequences of events, develops text and graphics work instructions, manufacturing datasets, tooling requirements, and manufacturing bills of material.

+ Communicates with engineering teams to influence and clarify design concepts.

+ Coordinates change incorporation, optimizes processes, addresses producibility issues, production & postproduction problems.

+ Has the ability to demonstrate configuration control of the hardware, within the manufacturing build plan.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

+ Minimum of 2-4 years of Manufacturing Engineering/planning or equivalent

+ Strong to excellent general computing skills MS Office Suite

+ This individual needs to be a self-starter who can eventually take a project from start to finish and has a willingness to work with all disciplines to accomplish a goal.

+ High School Diploma or GED

+ Computer skills: 3D modeling software experience

+ Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, PL’s and Specifications

Preferred Skills:

+ Bachelor’s degree is highly preferred but not required.

+ Computer skills: SAP, Catia

+ Aircraft knowledge and manufacturing experience
