Job Summary

Primary responsibilities of this position include cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, offices and other designated areas as assigned. Additionally, the right candidate will be responsible for monitoring and replenishing supplies.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities

+ Cleans rest rooms, offices, and replenishes supplies such as toilet paper and paper towels.

+ Sweeps, mops, and waxes floors and vacuums and shampoos carpets and rugs in assigned areas.

+ Reports to Supervisor damaged structures and equipment. Take care of equipment, maintenance of equipment, and cleanliness of equipment.

+ Attends training classes and seminars to improve knowledge and skills.

+ Polishes windows, door wells, stairwells and water fountains.

+ Cleans other areas as assigned, work special events and programs outside the normal work hours.

+ Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three months of custodial experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA)

+ Current knowledge of custodial practices.

+ Ability to clean and use custodial equipment to include scrubbers, mops, vacuums, ride on equipment, etc...

+ Ability to work nights from 10pm - 6:30am.

+ Language Skills:Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.

+ Mathematical Skills:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent as it relates to cleaning solutions.

+ Reasoning Ability:Proven track record of making sensible and well-grounded decisions, reflecting a keen understanding of the situation at hand.
