    Job Description:

    Cardiothoracic Surgery PA** **(Per-Diem)

     

    Lahey Hospital & Medical Center** **(Northern Boston Suburbs, MA)

     

    Join Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, a 345-bed nationally recognized tertiary care hospital, as a Per Diem Physician Assistant in the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery.

    Y** **our Role:

    + Provide post-op care in ICU, Progressive Care, and Telemetry.

    + Manage post-op cardiac surgery patients (ventilators, inotropes, vasoactive meds).

    + Manage post-op thoracic surgery patients.

    + Treat urgent medical issues (arrhythmias, hemodynamic instability, sepsis).

    + ER consults & admissions.

    + Surgical consults.

    + Pre-op patient evaluation & preparation.

    + Experience with: chest tube insertion, central/arterial lines, Swan-Ganz management.

    + Handle urgent outpatient calls.

    + Collaborate in a high-acuity environment.

    Requirements:

    + 2+ years of Cardiothoracic Surgery experience.

    + Expertise in pre, intra, and post-op cardiothoracic patient management.

    + Proficiency in ICU management.

    + Strong procedural skills.

    + Excellent teamwork & communication skills.

    + Ability to work in a fast pacedenvironment.

    Shift:

    + Rotating, Per Diem.
