All employees are expected to work primarily physically within the State of Maryland*.* ** *PRIMARY DUTIES* * Evaluates, trains, coaches and schedules staff as needed. Participates in the hiring process and delivers progressive disciplinary action when required. * Evaluates unanticipated and emergency service needs that arise during shift, determines level of action. * Provides visual inspection and service quality assurance in areas of responsibility. Monitors work in progress and ensures compliance with projected results, service delivery schedules and standards. * Communicates and coordinates with customers, peers and other organization units as necessary to deliver the custodial program and to support the success of other programs. * Supervises the daily operation of evening EVS Techs and assigns duties in a designated area to ensure cleanliness and orderly condition. * Serves as working supervisor to meet the demands and needs of the situation. Acts in the capacity of the Shift Manager in their absence. * Prepares reports and makes recommendations to improve the quality of services, cost control, and customer and employee satisfaction. * Oversees and recommends changes to the internal operating procedures. * Ensures all custodial functions are delivered efficiently and effectively for assigned area. * Performs other duties as assigned. *MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS* *Education: *High school diploma or GED *Experience: *Six (6) years of progressively responsible related experience on a scale similar to the requirements of the job is required *Supervisory Experience: *Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience Certification/Licensure: N/A *Other: *May consider a combination of directly related experience and education ** *KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES* Knowledge of position requirements. Knowledge of all applicable requirements, regulations, and laws. Skill in effective use of applicable technology/systems. Ability to effectively communicate both verbal and written thoughts, ideas, and facts. Ability to work cooperatively with others and independently.
