The Quality Technician will play a crucial role in the daily operations by pulling samples from shipments and checking for moisture. You will operate scales and maintain a high level of customer service with external customers and grain haulers. Additionally, you will become proficient with computer applications and assist other personnel as needed.
Responsibilities

+ Operate scales and maintain customer service with external customers and grain haulers.
+ Become proficient with computer applications.
+ Complete grading of corn based on training.
+ Assist other personnel as needed.
+ Accurately complete tasks in a timely manner as assigned.
+ Maintain a team environment with other departments.
+ Ensure adherence to all company guidelines and regulatory standards.
+ Read and interpret Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
+ Maintain a clean and organized work area.
+ Learn and understand the basic operation of the facilities process.
+ Notify management of any discrepancies in inventory.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.

+ Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent required.
+ Preferred 2 years of previous food manufacturing experience.
+ Excellent communication skills.
+ Ability to work independently and flexible hours.
+ Proficiency in computer programs such as MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Work Environment
You will work in a small facility off of the main site, as part of a three-person team including the Manager and Lab Assistant. Responsibilities include grading, probing, and conducting grain lab tests on trucks. Training hours are Monday through Friday, 7 AM – 4 PM. Once on the official schedule, hours will be 12-hour shifts from 6 AM to 6 PM, working Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday one week, then Wednesday and Thursday the next week. Physical requirements include occasionally lifting weights of up to 50 pounds, climbing stairs, bending, twisting, turning, data entry, walking, pushing brooms and shovels, working at heights, in confined spaces, and at varying temperatures.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
