Job Title: Civil Engineer

Job Description

Actalent is looking for a Project Manager to support Gas System Distribution projects. This position will manage various gas system projects in the surrounding client area. The successful candidate should have experience in project management working on multiple customers and contractors initiated projects at the same time. A general knowledge of, or the desire to learn, the technical aspects of Gas Systems, water/wastewater, or sewer is necessary.

Requisite Abilities and Skills

+ Experience managing small projects or programs.

+ Experience working in the electric Utility industry in project management or engineering roles

+ Strong communication and presentation skills and techniques to bring about agreement between divergent points of view. Ability to write clear, concise, and direct narrative and reports.

+ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills for single of multiple technical areas.

+ Negotiating and critical thinking skills.

+ Knowledge of utility methods, techniques and procedures involved in budgeting, procurement, and contract administration.

+ Advanced Project Management Training and Project Management or Construction Management Certification from an accredited institution (PMI or College).

+ General knowledge of techniques used to involve community members in development of project affecting their community.

+ Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills for single or multiple technical areas.

+ Demonstrated negotiating and critical thinking skills.

+ Leadership traits that can energize a multidisciplinary work team to respond to business needs

Additional Information

- The territory covered will primarily be the Bellevue to Bothell area.

- There will be a need to go into a PSE office in the Bellevue to Bothell area territory. This will be once a week, probably Tuesday or Wednesday, for a full day.

- Travel will be 25% of the time locally to field visits.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
