    We are seeking a skilled Software Validation Engineer to oversee the security validation of vehicle ECUs. The ideal candidate will excel at interpreting software requirements to ensure they are clear, complete, and testable. You will be responsible for creating a comprehensive test plan that outlines the testing approach, objectives, scope, resources, and schedule. Additionally, you will identify opportunities to enhance validation processes, testing methodologies, and overall product quality.

    Responsibilities

    + Own the security validation of vehicle ECUs.

    + Interpret software requirements to ensure clarity and completeness.

    + Create a comprehensive test plan outlining testing approach and schedule.

    + Identify opportunities to improve validation processes and product quality.

    + Build test infrastructure and automate testing processes.

    + Document issues in detail and collaborate with developers for resolution.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in software validation and testing.

    + 3+ years of experience in testing networking and/or automotive products.

    + 3+ years of experience in automation scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or similar.

    + Experience in developing system-level test cases.

    + Knowledge of automotive protocols like DoIP, UDS, LIN, and CAN.

    + Programming/scripting skills for developing automation scripts.

    + Experience in verifying security features at application/firmware level on embedded platforms.

    + Strong capability in writing and maintaining test cases and acceptance test plans.

    + 3+ years of experience in developing test cases on embedded Linux platforms.

    + Experience with automation and stress test tools.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

    + Passion for embedded systems testing.

    + Collaborative nature with excellent interpersonal skills.

    + Strong verbal and written communication skills.

    Work Environment

    The role involves working with advanced technologies in a dynamic environment focused on automotive and networking products. The position requires a proactive approach to enhance product quality and testing methodologies. The work hours are flexible, and the dress code is business casual.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $80.00/hr.
