    Job Title: PhlebotomistJob Description

     

    We are seeking a skilled phlebotomist who is proficient in blood collection techniques including venipuncture and capillary methods, catering to patients of all age groups from pediatric to geriatric. The ideal candidate should have a comprehensive understanding of compliance and safety procedures and be capable of effectively communicating their importance to team members. Additionally, this role requires the ability to provide orientation and training to patient service staff, with interactions involving minors supervised by a qualified professional.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform blood collection using venipuncture and capillary techniques.

    + Handle pediatric blood collections and difficult draws in medical office buildings.

    + Ensure compliance and safety standards are met and communicated to other employees.

    + Provide orientation and training for patient service staff.

    + Supervise interactions involving minors.

    + Process specimens efficiently.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in neonatal phlebotomy and venipuncture.

    + Experience with specimen processing.

    + Knowledge of Cerner lab system.

    + Possession of a CPT 1 License.

    + High school diploma.

    + Computer literacy and customer service skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Must be available for an on-call schedule averaging 32 hours per week, with flexibility to work 24-40 hours.

    + Willingness to work any schedule from Monday to Sunday between 7am-7pm, occasionally until 11pm.

    + Openness to floating between different clinic locations.

    Work Environment

    This position offers the opportunity to work in both inpatient and outpatient settings, with locations across North County, Anaheim Hills, Garden Grove, and Yorba Linda, CA. Facilities include various draw stations where phlebotomists will conduct blood collection. The role requires flexibility in working hours and the willingness to float between different draw station locations.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
