Manufacturing Engineer – Aerospace & Defense Precision

Step into a role where your engineering expertise directly supports the safety and performance of U.S. military aircraft. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll be the technical authority behind the non-destructive testing (NDT) systems that ensure the integrity of jet engine and aircraft components used by theDepartment of Defense. This is more than a job—it’s a mission-critical position at the intersection of innovation, national security, and aerospace excellence.
What You’ll Do
+ Own the inspection process. Develop and implement troubleshooting guides, preventative maintenance schedules, and inspection strategies for ultrasonic and other NDT systems.
+ Keep operations flying. Manage spare parts inventories to ensure maximum uptime of critical test equipment.
+ Collaborate with experts. Work closely with Operations and the onsite Level 3 Ultrasonic Inspector to ensure inspections are accurate, repeatable, and compliant with DoD standards.
+ Drive quality assurance. Lead inspection program management to guarantee the reliability of components used in military aircraft and jet engines.
What You Bring
+ Manufacturing or process engineering experience in a high-stakes, precision-driven environment.
+ Expertise in non-destructive testing, especially ultrasonic inspection techniques.
+ ABS degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering—or equivalent hands-on experience.
+ At least3 years of experience industrial or manufacturing engineering, ideally in a testing or quality-focused role.
+ U.S. Citizenship or Authorization card (required for defense-related work).
Preferred Qualifications
+ Advanced degree in a relevant engineering field.
+ Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.
+ Proven ability to manage projects, solve complex problems, and communicate across technical and non-technical teams.
+ Familiarity with structured continuous improvement systems like ACE, CORE, or similar.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $43.00/hr.
