    Summary About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Marketing Office Shaw AFB. Responsibilities Develops, designs, codes, troubleshoots and maintains 20th FSS commercial website using specialized standard software (Adobe CS5). Produces and designs web ready graphic materials and interactive Adobe documents for internal and external customers, to include paid advertising. Refreshes website content and checks scripted links to external sources daily to ensure accuracy and timeliness of information and images. Stays abreast of industry trends and technologies and integrates them into the website. Stays abreast of changes to AFIs, manuals and guidance covering web pages and maintenance and ensures all licenses, registrations, and clearances for web pages are kept up to date. Develops, organizes and maintains web page contact by directly communicating with supervisor, advertisers, marketing/sponsorship staff, and/or activity managers. Produces marketing materials in every state from concept to delivery for the advertisement and promotion of 20th FSS category B/C facilities. Produces logos, original design and advertisement copy following Air Force Agency guidelines and AP Style Guide standards. Responsible for marketing and advertising concept, layout, design and production of posters, brochures, calendars, flyers, and other print or digital media publication (to include web, Qubica, digital display screens and base marquee). Functions as a design, layout and editorial specialist for print and digital media. User's production equipment such as large format printers/plotter, production color scanner/copies, industrial cutting machine and trimmer, folding machine, and large scale cold lamination. May take digital photographs. Maintains digital photo bank and graphics library. Performs primarily substantive clerical work in support of marketing administrative management and/or operation requirements. Maintains and troubleshoot database for marketing sponsorship facility work orders (MS Access). Obtains information and tracks changes for day-to-day activities, upcoming events, special programs and events from activity managers (MS Outlook Calendars, Excel and Access). Must remain knowledgeable and/or reports on all FSS activities, events, programs and facilities. Responsible for scheduling squadron information and pre-approved advertising in base Services and non-Services facilities. Prepares marketing printed materials and/or slides for briefings at base function such as Right Start, Heart Link, FTAC with the purpose of upcoming FSS facilities and updates marketing display (poster holders, counter displays, brochure racks). Occasionally required to work outside of normal business hours. Performs other duties as assigned. Works directly under the Marketing Director with minimal supervision. Qualifying Experience: Two years progressively responsible administrative, professional, technical, or other position which has provided a working knowledge of web development, graphic design, and/or marketing/advertising principles and practices. Specialized experience must demonstrate the applicant's ability to plan and implement new and unique ideas without the benefit of established criteria. Be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Be able to effectively assist in planning an organizing work and follow management procedures, directives, regulations, and technical guidance. Possess general clerical skills and have knowledge of correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Be able to read and speak English. Experience using industry standard programs such as Microsoft Office Suite (Wood, Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Publisher), Adobe Creative Suite 5 (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, InDesign, Flash, Acrobat Pro) Corel Graphics Suite X5 and social media (Facebook, Twitter) are highly desirable. Position is a position of trust. Be able to read and speak English. Be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying. Additional Information Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. Territory for three (3) or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation or a signed memorandum indicating the installation's decision on the 3-year residency requirement.. A probationary period may be required. Pre-employment requirements must be satisfactorily met prior to Entrance on Duty (EOD).
