Job Posting Revision: Director of Food & Beverage – Camp Lucy
Employment Type: Full-Time
About Camp Lucy
Camp Lucy isn’t just a resort—it’s a 280-acre love letter to Texas, where century-old oaks frame luxury cottages, and every meal is a memory in the making. At the heart of it all? Tillie’s Restaurant (where Hill Country ingredients meet global flair), Camp Lucy Banquets (where weddings taste as magical as they look), and Folklore Spa (where wellness is plated, not just pampered).
Your Role: Architect of Unforgettable Flavors
As our Director of Food & Beverage, you’re not just managing menus—you’re curating moments that guests will savor long after they leave. This role is your stage to blend Texas terroir with world-class hospitality, leading a team that turns locally sourced heirlooms into heirloom memories.
Think of yourself as the conductor of an edible symphony, where every note—from a smoky bourbon cocktail to a fork-tender brisket—plays in perfect harmony.
What You’ll Create
+ Menus that tell stories: Partner with chefs to craft seasonal dishes where local isn’t a buzzword—it’s a philosophy (think Fredericksburg peaches, LBJ Ranch beef, and honey from our own hives).
+ Events that dazzle: Elevate weddings and banquets into culinary spectacles, where passed hors d’oeuvres spark conversations and wine pairings feel like serendipity.
+ A team that thrives: Mentor servers, sommeliers, and mixologists to see service as an art form (“That margarita isn’t just a drink—it’s a guest’s first taste of Texas”).
+ Sustainability with soul: Forge partnerships with ranchers, winemakers, and artisans who share our commitment to the land.
Who You Are
+ A hospitality maverick with 8-10 years leading F&B teams in luxury resorts, vineyards, or destination restaurants.
+ Equal parts poet and pragmatist—you obsess over flavor profiles and P&L statements, Silverware systems and silver service.
+ A collaborator who bridges kitchens and ballrooms, ensuring the seared scallops at Tillie’s are as flawless as the champagne service at a 300-guest wedding.
+ A guardian of standards: Health codes are your bible, but guest smiles are your legacy.
+ A Texan at heart (or by adoption), with a passion for the Hill Country’s rhythms—sunset dinners, harvest festivals, and the quiet hum of a satisfied dining room.
Why You’ll Love It Here
+ Compensation: $100,000 – $110,000
+ Perks with Purpose:
+ Fuel Your Adventures: 120 hours PTO to explore Hill Country trails, vineyards, and taco trucks.
+ Nourish Your Craft: Discounts at Camp Lucy + Whim Hospitality (yes, that includes spa days and steak nights).
+ Grow Roots: Shape the future of F&B at Texas’ most storied resort, with a path to VP of Hospitality.

Send your resume and a story about a meal or event that made you proud to be in this industry (bonus points for Hill Country ties!).
