Cellular Systems Engineer, Power and Performance

Minimum qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
+ 2 years of experience working in a Wireless communication technologies technical environment, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
Preferred qualifications:
+ Master's or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
+ Experience optimizing modem power consumption in consumer products.
+ Knowledge of protocol layers of LTE or 5G technology (L1, MAC, RRM, NAS, RRC, etc).
+ Knowledge of power management architectures for cellular mobile platforms.
+ Ability to write Python scripts to automate test equipment or log analysis.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $126,000-$181,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. + Develop new algorithms and drive architectural improvements to enhance cellular power and performance.
+ Examine modem logs and design test setups to validate fixes and new features.
+ Oversee a cellular power dashboard and optimize power usage across Radio Frequency (RF), modem, and protocol layers.
+ Assess existing solutions and identify areas for feature improvement (RRM, OOS, thermal throttling mitigations, antenna Rx switch diversity, etc.).
+ Understand mobile power management and analyze L1, L2 and L3 cellular protocols along with end-to-end cellular architecture.
