A Home Medical Equipment Manager at Munson Healthcare is responsible for organizing and directing ongoing functions within the Home Medical Equipment (HME) department to ensure the consistent availability and quality of services. This includes implementing governing body directives, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and acting as the administrative lead for department software systems and access. The manager oversees staffing by maintaining appropriate personnel levels, managing time off, providing education and performance evaluations, and handling disciplinary actions when necessary. Additionally, they ensure timely payroll processing, review interdepartmental charges for accuracy, and monitor the quality and appropriateness of services and products. Fiscal responsibilities include developing and managing departmental budgets in collaboration with Corporate Accounting. The role also involves developing and evaluating programs, reviewing and responding to customer satisfaction surveys and complaints, and representing the organization publicly. The manager keeps leadership informed of industry trends, develops departmental goals and policies, initiates and manages contracts, and supports continuous improvement through productivity programs and outcome measurement.
What’s Required:
Experience/Education
+ A four-year degree in a health-related field is preferred. In the absence of a bachelor’s degree, the candidate must have a minimum of four or more years of progressively more responsible work experience and leadership in a health care setting.
+ Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Must possess the ability to work independently while maintaining a team effort.
