Behavior Health Specialist

A Behavior Health Specialist (BHS) works with high risk children in residential settings licensed by the Office of Child and Family Services (OCFS). These children and youth served range from infants to teens and require various levels of supervision, support, and intervention, as they work through and deal with the issues that have led to their placements. Our goal for children in care is to help them heal from the traumas they have experienced and learn better coping strategies.
+ Hourly Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour

+ Education
+ 60 credit hours completed AND currently enrolled in 4-year degree program in Human Services or related field
Or
+ Associate’s Degree
Or
+ A High School diploma/GED with one year of paid child care experience
+ Required License/Certification:
+ Valid NYS Driver's License
+ TCI Certification (Training provided by OLVHS)
Schedules:
+ Afternoon/evening, weekend shifts

The Overnight Aide serves as a night attendant assigned to a residential living unit. The primary responsibility of this position is to remain awake and alert during the clients sleeping hours, making regular direct observations of the sleeping areas as well as the rest of the unit. This employee is also responsible for waking the clients in the morning and ensuring that the established routine is followed.
+ Hourly Pay Rate: $17.25 per hour
