Crouse’s Business Office is hiring a full time Billing Supervisor.
Pay Range: $70,000.00-$82,500.00/annual
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
Billing Supervisor Position Responsibilities:
+ Responsible for the overall operations, leadership, direction and coordination of staff within the Billing Team.
+ Reviews and resolves issues related to claim generations, clean claim ratios, rejected, denied billings. Determines the accuracy of charge capture, missing charges, late charges, covered and non-covered charges.
+ Ensures timely submission and acceptance of claims to all payers.
+ Serves as a resource to staff by answering questions, assisting with problems, and providing training as necessary.
+ Communicates issues that are preventing timely and accurate billings to appropriate hospital department Manager for performance improvement process.
+ Analyze billing data to identify trends, improve processes, and generate reports on key performance indicators.
+ Effectively resolve claim edit errors within the billing software based on national correct coding initiative edits to ensure clean claims are submitted to payers.
+ Responsible for monitoring all Billing DNFB worklists within the billing software.
+ Performs staff management functions related to employee selection, on-boarding/orientation, coaching/development, staffing, work assignments, performance management and goal alignment as guided by hospital policy and procedures and collective bargaining unit agreement (when applicable).
+ Produces/oversees weekly and monthly reporting for assigned areas. Communicates and enforces policies and procedures to/with staff. Ensures departmental manual is up to date at all times. Conducts regular staff meetings to keep staff informed of departmental performance to established KPIs and any issues and/or concerns of departmental management and staff.
+ Assists in developing departmental collection goals and establishment of KPIs in conjunction with the Director of Patient Accounting and Billing and Accounts Receivable Manager.
Billing Supervisor Position Requirements:
+ Associate’s Degree in related field or combination of High School Diploma with 5 years progressive experience in Patient Financial Services required.
+ Must have five (5) years’ experience in Acute Care Hospital Billing.
+ Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in Supervisor positions.
+ Previous Leadership experience preferred.
