The **National Air Logistics Defense Product Manager** is a key driver of Kuehne + Nagel’s Aerospace & Defense air logistics strategy, focused on delivering secure, compliant, and performance-led solutions for high-value defense cargo across global markets. In this role, you will shape commercial growth initiatives, lead solution design for complex defense requirements, and ensure operational excellence through close collaboration with internal teams and customers. With a strong focus on results, compliance, and customer satisfaction, you will help position Kuehne + Nagel as a trusted logistics partner in the defense sector—where precision, reliability, and security are non-negotiable.
How you create impact
Strategic Development
+ Responsible to ensure local teams follow global focus product portfolio for defense and ensure compliance process fully implemented and followed in the country.
+ Provide technical & know-how support to our teams globally with respect to deliverables and country setup in line with Kuehne+Nagel compliance, country rules and regulations around the defense.
Product and Operational Excellence
+ Setup clear operational engagement model in line Corporate Compliance process & approval with the national road organization in relation to handling Defense products
+ Ensure adherence to defined Operational KPIs in compliance with the K+N Defense process & managing the right country structures.
+ Air Pricing elements and tender process for Defense opportunities.
+ Adherence to internal defense guidelines and procedures.
Operational Quality
+ Ensure security compliance as per global security team guidance on Defense
+ Interact and collaborate as required with global and national QSHE to ensure our defense product portfolio is continuously in compliance with all laws/ regulations and 'Audit Ready' for any customer or regulatory agency audit.
+ Ensure training compliance (yourself and your team)
What we would like you to bring
+ Minimum 5+ years of Defense experience required
+ Advanced knowledge of Defense industry supply chain needs
+ Expert knowledge of available supply chain solutions in the market (passive and active) and a strong understanding of market needs
+ Strong knowledge of quality, safety, health and environment processes, requirements, and formats to ensure sfaety and compliance standrards
+ Strong communication and presentation skills; Excellent at communicating complex technical information to stakeholders internally and externally
+ Demonstrated success in collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, sales and operations, to achieve product goals
+ Experience utilizng data analysis tools and techniques to make data-driven decisions and optimize product performance
+ Excellent problem solving skills with the capacity to identify issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement effective solutions in high-stress situations
+ Knowledge of training methods and training experience
+ Bachelor's or advanced degree in business administration or supply chain preferred
+ United States work authorization is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
