We’re looking for a Hardware Program Manager to join our Hardware PMO team. The Hardware PMO works on NPI programs and Sustaining programs. This role may work on both. The Hardware PMO works globally. This role will be located in the US and may require in-office collaboration in San Diego and/or San Francisco and will also require travel to other Oura global offices and/or global suppliers.
What you will do:
+ Coordinate the work of hardware engineering teams: electrical, mechanical, firmware, system test, hardware compliance, packaging.
+ Drive third parties to deliver against Statements of Work, when applicable for the program
+ Coordinate NPI build activities. Ensure product maturity and launch readiness throughout Prototype, EVT, DVT, PVT builds and validation.
+ Coordinate Go to Market Readiness in partnership with Product, Marketing, Supply Chain and Business teams
+ Help teams identify team level milestones and deliverables (against Program level targets) identifying the critical path and dependencies to inform program-level milestones including launch targets. This may include coordination with other hardware programs in flight.
+ Identify and manage dependencies between workstreams and between internal teams and external vendors throughout development.
+ Interface with hardware engineering leadership both to provide program reporting and receive strategic guidance.
+ Collaborate effectively with other PMO colleagues and program leaders across the company.
+ Proactively address issues and obstacles that may impact program timelines. Unblock teams, escalating as necessary. Identify how to accelerate when needed.
+ Contribute to BOM creation and technical specifications and oversee engineering change management
+ Drive engineering risk analysis and mitigation planning.
+ Be an advocate for program excellence, keeping the team focused on what is necessary to deliver on time and in scope.
+ Foster a collaborative and productive working environment with open communication to all stakeholders
+ Lead improvement projects and contributes to refining the existing product development processes.
+ Coordinate hardware engineering teams across electrical, mechanical, firmware, system test, compliance, and packaging to ensure program success.
+ Manage third-party deliverables: Lead external vendors in delivering according to Statements of Work (SoWs), ensuring alignment with program goals.
+ Oversee NPI builds: Coordinate product development through Prototype, EVT, DVT, PVT builds, and validation, ensuring launch readiness and product maturity.
+ Partner with cross-functional teams: Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Business teams to ensure Go-to-Market Readiness.
+ Define milestones and critical paths: Help teams identify milestones, dependencies, and deliverables at the team and program level, while ensuring on-time program delivery.
+ Manage dependencies between workstreams, internal teams, and external vendors, ensuring alignment across the development cycle.
+ Interface with leadership: Provide program updates to hardware engineering leadership, while receiving strategic guidance and aligning on priorities.
+ Collaborate with PMO peers: Work closely with other PMO colleagues and program leaders across the organization to drive consistent execution.
+ Proactively solve problems: Identify and address obstacles that impact timelines, escalate as needed, and find ways to accelerate program delivery.
+ Support BOM creation and change management: Oversee engineering change management processes and contribute to Bill of Materials (BOM) and technical specification creation.
+ Risk management: Drive engineering risk analysis and mitigation planning, ensuring smooth development.
+ Champion program excellence: Advocate for the team’s focus on delivering on time, within scope, and maintaining quality standards.
+ Foster a collaborative culture: Create an environment of open communication, ensuring alignment among all stakeholders.
+ Lead improvement initiatives: Contribute to refining our product development processes and lead initiatives that elevate team performance.
What you may do:

+ Lead Early Field Failure Analysis efforts
+ Onboard external vendors and manage their integration into the program.
+ Identify resource needs to ensure timely project delivery.
+ Lead Early Field Failure Analysis (EFFA) efforts to identify and resolve issues early in the lifecycle.
Requirements
We would love to have you on our team if you have:
+ 5+ years of experience with the entire end-to-end product development process including Electronics, Mechanics, Firmware, Application layer, Data, and Cloud, System Test, as well as product manufacturing and supply chain processes.
+ Skills using project management tools such as Jira and SmartSheet
+ Knowledge of project management best practices (PMP not required)
+ Knowledge of PLM systems such as Team Center or Arena
+ Previous experience taking a complex product through NPI phases including experience leading factory builds
+ Previous experience with different models of development: (eg ODM, JDM, CM)
+ Previous experience with go to market planning and execution
+ A desire to learn new things and accept challenges

Oura takes a market-based approach to pay, which may vary depending on your location. US locations are categorized into tiers based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. While most offers will be closer to the starting range, successful candidates' pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, internal peer equity, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
+ Region 1: $162,000 - $203,000
+ Region 2: $150,000 - $187,000
+ Region 3: $139,000 - $174,000
