Hours Full-time, indicate working hours - 40
Summary of Position
To predominately teach eight (8) lab sections in Introductory Biology (Majors and Non-Majors) and/or Anatomy & Physiology per long semester, as assigned by the Department Chair. Potential to teach some lecture sections based on needs of the department.
Minimum Required Education
Master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Introductory Biology, Anatomy & Physiology and/or related courses from a regionally accredited institution of higher education required.
Minimum Required Experience
Teaching experience at the secondary and/or post secondary level in Science is preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
+ Ability to teach and prepare lab content in Introductory Biology (Majors and Non-Majors) and/or Anatomy & Physiology
+ Commitment to providing a student-centered learning environment
+ Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with expertise using the English language.
+ Ability to be detailed oriented, set priorities, meet deadlines and multitask with minimum supervision.
+ Ability to assist students from diverse cultural and social backgrounds.
+ Flexibility in availability to teach at different times on the schedule and in various modes of delivery (face to face, hybrid, ect.) as needed.
