    Job Overview

     

    We are seeking a **Design Engineer** with expertise or desire in **Plumbing** design. The Plumbing Design Engineer is responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive plumbing designs that meet project deadlines and requirements. This role involves close collaboration with internal team members and external trade partners to ensure cohesive project execution. The engineer will produce detailed permit and construction documents while also providing ongoing field support and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Design HVAC and plumbing systems for projects of varying scale, ensuring code compliance and energy efficiency.

    + Manage project timelines and deliverables to meet deadlines and client expectations.

    + Represent the company in design meetings with clients, architects, and trade partners.

    + Conduct and document field surveys of existing conditions and equipment.

    + Perform engineering calculations including load analysis, equipment sizing, and pressure loss.

    + Develop construction and permit drawings using the latest design software.

    + Coordinate closely with architects, consultants, and trades for integrated design solutions.

    + Research and resolve design issues, conflicts, and code interpretations.

    + Support sustainability goals through LEED documentation and energy compliance reporting.

    Qualifications

    + Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate preferred, but not required.

    + Excellent understanding of engineering fundamentals

    + Working knowledge of system types, equipment, installation standards and procedures is necessary.

    + Ability to assume responsibility, interface and communicate with others is essential.

    + AutoCAD and REVIT experience is preferred

    **Competitive Salary** : $84,000-$92,000 per year based on experience.
