• Specialist - Gas Engineer - Gas Conversion Ops

    Required Education/Experience

    + Bachelor's Degree and 2 years full time related experience or

    + Associate's Degree and 4 years full time related experience or

    + High School Diploma/GED and 5 years full time related experience.

    Preferred Education/Experience

    + Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business.

    Relevant Work Experience

    + Experience with managing projects, managing customer service programs, providing support to operations, experience in energy services or gas operations or other customer and/or project related fields. Required

    + Experience with CPMS or other case management system(s). Required

    + An understanding of Con Edisons customer information portals (i.e. CIS) is a plus. Preferred

    + Knowledge of the Gas system is a plus. Preferred

    + Knowledge of Microsoft Query and advanced knowledge of MS Excel is a plus. Preferred

    Skills and Abilities

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills

    + Effective interpersonal skills

    + Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, etc.

    Licenses and Certifications

    + Driver's License Required

    Physical Demands

    + Must work at field locations in all weather conditions

    + Must climb in and out of manholes and excavations

    + Must travel to company locations to work on storm restoration and heat contingencies

    Additional Physical Demands

    + Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.

    + Must be able and willing to travel to customer locations within the Con Edison service territory.
