    Job Summary

    Responsible for providing advanced support to office of The Diversity and Inclusion Center of Excellence, COE, GCSOM. Oversees and coordinates the Center Programs including, but not limited to mentoring, program assessment, professional development, and serves as an integral role in the design, implementation, operation and evaluation of these programs. Collaborates with Academic Affairs, GCSOM Graduate School, Student Affairs, OIRPE, Center of Excellence Director and Equity Program Manager, and COE Leadership, to assure that programs and related activities are in place and functioning. Maintains coordination of processes to ensure a consistent and rigorous approach is executed. Additionally, ensures all programs are in full compliance with peer review and federal standards as appropriate. Supports the delivery of exceptional participant experience.

    Job Duties

    + Coordinates, reviews, and interprets, together with the Center leadership, all processes and meetings as related to Center Programs.

    + Coordinates and monitors the implementation of all activities of the Programs in compliance with Center implementation plans.

    + Maintains current understanding of CPPS projects and initiatives.

    + Maintains an organized system to ensure deadlines are met and issues resolved in a timely manner. Monitors and tracks project tasks and due dates related to CPPS and other activities of the department.

    + Assists and provides direction for the development of indicators or performance.

    + Oversees and maintains documentation of activities in designated confidential database systems, oversees the maintenance of files for the program, facilitates the production of reports as needed for leadership reviews, and as otherwise directed by Center leadership.

    + Participates as a member for Program Committees and designated team meetings.

    + Assists to develop and implement education materials regarding Center Programs.

    + Ensures, in conjunction with Director, that all administrative policies and procedures are current and reviewed annually.

    + Coordinates and assists with the development, revision and approval of policies, procedures and workflows related to CPPS.

    + Participates in continuing education programs to expand knowledge of professional discipline.

    + Performs duties as required or assigned by emergency or other operational reasons for which the employee is qualified to perform.

    *Relevant experience may be a combination of related work experience and degree obtained (Associate’s Degree = 2 years; Bachelor’s Degree = 4 years).

    Position Details

    Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrates strong organization and time management skills. Demonstrates interpersonal effectiveness – the ability to work effectively with individuals and on teams, facilitating team development and project completion. Demonstrates critical thinking skills and ability to analyze data sets. Demonstrates the ability to work autonomously and be directly accountable for performance. Demonstrates the ability to work with common PC software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Demonstrates excellent leadership skills to facilitate conflict resolution, process improvement, program implementation and growth.

     

    Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in health administration or related field preferred. One-year Diversity and Inclusion experience is preferred. Previous experience with medical and graduate students peer review activities and communications preferred.

    Education

    High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)- (Required), Master's Degree-Healthcare Administration (Preferred)

    Experience

    Minimum of 4 years-Relevant experience* (Required)
