Are you an experienced sales professional passionate about building strong customer relationships and driving results?
GE Appliances is looking for a Senior Area Sales Manager to join our Air & Water team. In this role, you’ll lead sales efforts across the NY/Northern NJ territory, supporting the growth of our innovative Air & Water product portfolio. You will work closely with distributors, contractors, and internal partners to strengthen relationships and expand our reach.

How You'll Create Possibilities
Key Responsibilities:
+ **Lead Sales Initiatives:** Prospect, recruit, and onboard new plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (PHVAC) wholesale distributors.
+ **Grow the Territory:** Drive sales growth by identifying new business opportunities and expanding existing customer partnerships.
+ **Collaborate Strategically:** Partner with national account teams and third-party representative firms to execute a targeted regional sales strategy.
+ **Enhance the Customer Experience:** Deliver customer-specific programs, resolve issues efficiently, and foster trust and long-term engagement.
+ **Communicate Product Value:** Lead training sessions and product demonstrations to communicate the advantages of GE Appliances' Air & Water solutions.
+ **Utilize Data Effectively:** Use reporting and analysis tools to track performance and identify improvement opportunities.
+ **Manage Partnerships:** Provide leadership and alignment for the Region’s third-party manufacturing representatives.
What You'll Bring to Our Team
Minimum Qualifications:
+ At least 5 years of relevant sales experience, ideally in the plumbing or HVAC industry (either vendor or distributor side).
+ Demonstrated ability to build strong, trust-based relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
+ Strong communication, presentation, organizational, and negotiation skills.
+ Ability and willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time throughout the NY/Northern NJ Region.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
+ Experience creating and executing strategic territory growth plans.
+ A proactive, solution-focused mindset with a drive to meet goals and overcome challenges.
Additional Details:
+ This is a remote role based in the NY/Northern NJ area.
+ At least 50% travel is required.
+ Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
