About You:

Provides the day-to-day logistics support and expertise in arranging transport, managing logistics issues, and resolving exceptions that occur in the transaction and execution of shipment orders within the material flow work process. Learns to back-up the three logistics material and service provider positions within WVO operations as well as the rail switching role. Manages the site Isotainer inventory and tracks the quality performance of local truck washing facilities.

Your Responsibilities / Duties:

+ Meets the customer requirements to ensure on-time delivery and lowest cost-to-service product transportation to the final destination.

+ Monitors timely shipments by Logistics Service Providers from origin.

+ Monitors systems transactional activity and resolves transaction failures.

+ Resolves logistics issues in the material flow work process to ensure compliance with customer requirements.

+ Verifies if logistics capability versus special requirements can be matched.

+ Responsible for accuracy of logistics data and accurate logistics charges.

+ Manages non-standard orders, changes and exceptions requiring different transport arrangements.

+ Coordinates and checks the shipment creation process, arranges transport, checks compliance with loading dates and/or times.

+ Checks, approves and books (additional) logistics costs in SAP timely.

+ Communicates special delivery requirements to the carrier and finds alternative carriers to deliver specific shipments.

+ Registers non-compliances and associated corrective actions in the quality measure. Escalates repetitive non-compliances to focal point.

+ Responsible for ensuring SAP shipment are timely, accurate, error free, and in compliance with work.

+ Responsible for immediate resolution of all issues related to orders, shipping documents (Certificates of Analysis, Bills of Lading, Survey Reports, Goods Issue, Customs and Trade Agreement documents), invoicing, accounts payable, etc.

Required Qualifications:

+ A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent

+ Proficiency with computer applications such MS Office knowledge and SAP

+ Occasional off hours support will be required, work on holidays and overtime

+ A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process

Must have at least ONE of the following:

+ An associate's degree or higher

+ 3 or more years of relevant military training/experience

+ 4+ years of experience in Logistics in Chemical Industry/Environment and SAP

Preferred qualifications:

+ Previous work in WVO logistics experience

+ Extensive SAP experience

+ Customer Service:The ability to understand and meet the needs of customers by providing helpful, courteous, and knowledgeable support. This includes resolving issues efficiently and ensuring customer satisfaction.

+ ​Teamwork:The ability to collaborate effectively with others to achieve common goals. It involves sharing responsibilities, supporting colleagues, and contributing to a positive team environment.

+ SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP):Proficiency in using SAP ERP software to manage business operations such as logistics, finance, and supply chain. This includes navigating modules like ECC for tasks such as shipment tracking, invoicing, and data accuracy.

+ Logistics Operations:Understanding how the role fits within the needs of operating units, carrierarrangements, and internal supply chain demands

+ Self-Starter:A self-starter is a person who is sufficiently motivated or ambitious to start a new career or business or to pursue further education without the help of others.
