    Description

    Performs new construction, maintenance, or repair functions, or repair functions following proper safety protocols. Excavates around underground utilities requiring skill and care to protect life and property. Maintains company vehicles, performs daily safety, maintenance, or servicing, checks to ensure proper functioning of the equipment. Keeps equipment and tools in good working order. Performs digging and lifting with mechanical derrick.

    Qualifications

    Education

    Preferred

    + High School or better

    Experience

    Preferred

    + Experience identifying different types of materials used.

    + Understands when to wear personnel protective equipment.

    + Understands the basic concepts of equipment set up.

    + Understands the proper use and maintenance of hand tools.

    + Understands how to safely operate equipment.

    + 1 year: Operator in Derrick Digger operations.
