    Safety Program Analyst

    Job Summary

    The Safety Program Analyst is responsible to act as a subject matter expert and provide support to the Safety leadership team and NiSource business functions. The Safety Program Specialist may be responsible for the oversight of compliance-related programs.

     

    This role supports specific areas of safety focus which may include: Project Management, Risk Assessment, Risk Management, Compliance Program Creation and Sustainability, Human Factors and Incident Investigation.

     

    The Safety Program Analyst acts as a key point of contact with various supporting departments that are impacted by compliance/core driven safety programs. This role provides program impact to the required Change Management/ Management of Change departments to ensure smooth roll out and sustainment of required programs. This role supports the development of NiSource Safety teams' expertise in the development and execution of safety programs, initiatives, communications, processes and process improvements, and safety data management systems.

    Essential Functions

    + Responsible for supporting our telematics driving program by leading monthly audits of technology health, vehicle assignment and trip reports and identifying and implementing process improvements for program sustainment. Additionally compile case studies demonstrating the positive outcomes of the company's telematics program and utilize gathered data on behavior and vehicle collision trends to show improvements and return on investment of program effectiveness.

    + Responsible for supporting the wearable connected gas detection program through data collection and analysis and administrative support

    + Lead and manage NiSource-wide safety initiatives to drive organizational safety excellence.

    + Provide strategic direction for existing safety programs and recommend enhancements to advance organizational safety objectives.

    + Plan, facilitate, and document project meetings to ensure alignment and progress.

    + Record and monitor project requirements to meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders.

    + Mentor and support the development of other safety professionals within the organization.

    + Review and revise corporate processes to maintain alignment with organizational goals.

    + Coordinate enterprise-wide communications to facilitate the effective rollout of safety initiatives and programs.

    + Provide coaching and oversight to colleagues with less experience, fostering team growth and development.

    + Influence and shape policies, practices, and procedures to enhance safety culture across the organization.

    + Offer expert guidance in creating and sustaining compliance-focused programs.

    **Required Qualifications For Position** ​

    + Bachelor's Degree from accredited institution or equivalent work experience

    + Three to five years of relevant work experience

    + Demonstrated competence in the Microsoft suite, in particular Excel and PowerPoint

    + Experience with group facilitation and information gathering

    + Analytical, planning, organization, and verbal/written communication skills

    + Demonstrated public speaking and presentation skills

    + Ability to drive and monitor continuous improvement and associated change management

    + Ability to drive execution using a formal methodology

    + Demonstrated knowledge and ability to quickly assess and make sound decisions

    + Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization

    + Ability to gather and analyze data to make informed decisions

    + Ability to accurately obtain, interpret, and transcribe a variety of communications and instructions

    + Ability to recognize and evaluate risks, hazards, losses and prevent conflicts between activities

    + Ability to learn software programs

    + Ability to collaborate in a remote working environment

    + DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State

    Salary Range*:

    $79,800.00 - $119,600.00
