Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN) in the Corporate Operations Department (10), ACIO/Information Technology Division (104), Cyber Security Branch (1043) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14. Responsibilities You will serve as Supervisory Information Technology Specialist (Branch Manager) for the Cybersecurity Branch located in the Information Technology Division of the Corporate Operations Department. You will oversee employees that are responsible for ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and availability of NSWC Crane's IT systems and networks. You will provide Cyberspace Workforce Program Management (CSWF) oversight, Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM), network security - HBSS, wireless, proxy, investigations, spillages. You will be responsible for the Branch’s overall effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity and for the development and implementation of the Branch’s policies and procedures. You will develop and maintain Branch’s long/short term planning for funding, human resources, facilities and equipment. You will perform supervisory duties including: recruitment, hiring, training, awards, discipline and retirement. You will monitor and coordinate tasking and continuous work for the branch’s internal and external customers. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower band, NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: developing and implementing cyber security policies for management of IT projects to ensure compliance with cybersecurity requirements and maintain effectiveness and efficiency of IT programs, systems, or platforms for an organization. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
