Job Summary
The Sr. Insights Analyst is a key member of the Papa John’s Marketing team, responsible for developing insights from data that helps evaluate current results and identify/support strategies for future growth.
This position is located in the Atlanta office and will directly support the Restaurant Operations team through the use of data gathering abilities to produce key deliverables. This role will be a trusted partner to leaders within the Restaurant Operations team and must be able to understand the strategic objectives in each business area.
Duties and Responsibilities
+ Key Deliverables:
+ Weekly and period-end reporting to track KPIs, business trends, and operational performance
+ Analysis of sales, orders, ticket, margin, and labor performance/trends
+ Analysis of customer service metrics: customer satisfaction scores, delivery times, make times…
+ Support for strategic initiatives, uncover root causes, and recommend performance improvement opportunities.
+ Insights related to performance metrics throughout the Restaurant Operations hierarchy (corporate and franchise) as well as the regional and DMA level
+ Serve as a subject matter expert for performance metrics and reporting best practices
+ Various ad hoc analysis related to Restaurant Operations metrics with action-oriented insights, including forecasting of results
+ Analyze visitor behavior patterns, trends and predict impact of changes to customer experience and buying process
+ Collaborate with internal teams to assess impact of digital promotions
+ Coordinate with web product managers to assess effectiveness of product launches
+ Develop relevant practices and procedures for preparing business reports
+ Quickly respond to ad hoc analytic requests which are common in our data-driven environment.
Education, Experience & Certifications
+ 3 - 5 years of experience in business analytic roles; including designing & developing analytical processes and models
+ Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in business, statistics, or data science
+ Experience as a Business or Data Analyst with demonstrated experience in gathering requirements, as well as designing and developing analytic solutions
+ Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in data visualization tools
+ Experience accessing data through the use of SQL—creating and editing queries
Functional Skills
+ Proven ability to partner with business leaders to gather functional requirements and develop specifications for data analysis and forecasting.
+ Familiarity with analyzing sales, order, customer, demographic, regional, and other trends to identify business drivers, causality, and recommendations to drive business growth.
+ Ability to design and developing flexible/intuitive dashboards and business analysis that enable business leaders to assess performance and develop targeted strategic action plans.
+ Perform analysis related to business opportunities, data modeling, analytical technology, and analytic methodologies.
+ Support the organization by understanding testing methodologies, Q/A processes (including working with other groups/team members as peer review), and test case to ensure data accuracy.
+ Provide deep research and insights on consumer, customer, and store datasets.
+ Proven discipline to work with thoroughness and urgency to guide decisions and action
+ Demonstrated skill in partnering with both technical and cross-functional teams; specifically, Restaurant Operations, Restaurant Development, Commercial/Marketing, Supply Chain, Data/Data Science teams.
+ Developing skills necessary to present analytic findings at an Executive Summary level.
+ Manage a substantial volume of diverse projects and ad hoc requests with excellence and precision.
+ Strong communication and presentation skills; able to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
