    Position Specific Description

Florida Power & Light is seeking a talented associate-level Environmental Air Subject Matter Expert that is motivated, self-directed and results-driven to support air subject matter issues. This position will require involvement in all aspects of the air program including regulatory review of proposed federal and state regulations, air permitting, and compliance support for operating facilities. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, problem solving, verbal and written communication skills are a must. Strong technical review skills are critical. The position will interface with clients across the organization providing professional support within their area of expertise. The position will be required to support preparation of documents to communicate issues to senior level staff and management.

     

    Job Overview

     

    Employees in this job support environmental staff in obtaining environmental approvals, licenses and permits for construction and operation of new and existing NextEra, Inc. facilities from Federal, State and Regional agencies.

    Job Duties & Responsibilities

    • Supports the company's compliance with environmental requirements

    • Supports environmental aspects of company operations, such as, compliance, reporting, monitoring, remediation, and environmental permitting functions

    • Monitors and analyzes environmental policies and regulations that affect the company and its customers

    • Provides the necessary support to staff to resolve environmental matters

    • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
