Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Business Analyst to support our Retail Pharmacy – Track & Trace (DSCSA Compliance) initiatives. This role is critical to ensuring compliance with the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) while driving operational excellence through data-driven insights.

The ideal candidate will have retail pharmacy experience, strong SQL skills, and a proven ability to analyze complex datasets to identify trends, solve problems, and support strategic decision-making. Familiarity with pharmacy workflows and regulatory compliance requirements is essential. Candidates with an active Illinois Pharmacy Technician license are strongly preferred, as it supports a deeper understanding of pharmacy operations and regulatory standards.

This is an opportunity for internal or external candidates to support the Track and Trace program. The role is vital in ensuring Drug Supply Chain Security Act compliance and will be managing which products are DSCSA regulated and following GS1 standards (e.g., 2D barcode, GTIN, EPCIS, etc.). The role will require internal and external communications such as communicating with manufacturers on 2D barcode issues or EPCIS data mismatches. A strong background in masterdata and analytical skills are required to be successful in this role.

Job Responsibilities:

+ Identifies and documents marketing, customer, business and functional/technical business requirements initiatives and enhancements to existing products.

+ Understands and translates requirements in the format required for both product and system development.

+ Under general supervision, performs analysis of complex business products and operational requirements and successful development and deployment of product solutions.

+ Builds the business case and performs financial analysis.

+ Supports department stakeholders to organize, plan, schedule, coordinate and control project activities and documentation applicable to business analysis. Owns key processes and documentation applicable to business analysis.

External Basic Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s Degree and at least 1 years product management experience. OR High School/GED and at least 3 years product management experience

+ Experience with product management (planning, organizing and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives).

+ Experience in economic modeling and business case development within Walgreens and B2B environments.

+ Experience with B2B products and services.

+ Experience using business analytical skills including facilitating requirements sessions and documenting activity workflows and business requirements.

+ Experience with regulatory requirements.

+ Experience with MS Office Suite.

+ Experience creating and delivering marketing presentations to senior management.

+ Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Active Illinois pharmacy technician license.

+ Retail Pharmacy Experience

+ SQL knowledge

+ Experience with Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

+ Analytical skills (data analysis experience is a bonus).
