Job Description
The associate assortment planner – Scaled Events contributes to planning and managing the content and balance of Anniversary & Holiday sales, inventory, and profitability through a detailed understanding of event, product strategy and customer needs. The associate assortment planner – Scaled Events partners with the Merchant teams & Cross functional teams to achieve financial and strategic objectives.
A day in the life…
+ Partner with Merchant and Cross Functional teams to execute a merchandise strategy for Anniversary and Holiday based on customer insights, financial plans, and Divisional product strategies with input from consumer insights, strategy and marketing, merchant teams, and financial planning to drive growth for both events
+ Analyze and validate event plans to support the merchandise strategy, optimize product investment, and align with financial plans
+ Lead the analysis and use of information to communicate risks and opportunities to improve the buy and incorporate customer insights
+ With an in-depth understanding of Scaled Event KPI's, work closely with Merch Analytics to outline and test reporting requirements for future Anniversary and Holiday events.
+ Analyze and communicate in-event performance and post-event retrospective, providing overall results and recommendations for upcoming events
You own this if you have...
+ Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising or related field preferred
+ 1+ years of assortment planning, replenishment, or digital merchandising preferred, supporting a high-sales volume category
+ Experience in a relevant merchandise category preferred
+ Demonstrated understanding of retail and the service environment of Nordstrom required
+ Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills
+ Proficiency in MS Office suite required
+ Strong interpersonal skills required

Pay Range Details
The pay range(s) below has been provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different for other locations. Pay offers are dependent on the location, as well as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
$92,000.00 - $155,000.00 Annual
This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more. Eligibility requirements may apply based on location, job level, classification, and length of employment.
