The role you’ll contribute:

_The Specialty RX Pharmacy is responsible for a all activities regarding the Specialty Pharmacy Program for Rx Plus Pharmacy and Expedien Rx Pharmacy. The position works with the Specialty Pharmacy Supervisor to direct daily activities of the specialty department staff to assure that all processes are completed in a timely manner in accordance with departmental standards and government laws and regulations. The Specialty Manager hires, trains, and supervises the Specialty Pharmacy Supervisor. Manager is required to maintain knowledge of all pharmacy processes and positions, including staff pharmacist duties and specialty accreditation standards. The position resolves issues regarding client complaints and other matters that escalate from the specialty staff. Customary duties include, but are not limited to: Assessment, Planning, Implementing, Coordination, Monitoring and Evaluation throughout the Continuum of Care for patients prescribed Specialty medications. Patient care is coordinated in a timely, cost effective manner; working with the member or surrogate, physician's office, and Medical Plan Case Mangers to assure medications, supplies, education, delivery and follow-up are performed in an appropriate manner. Communicates consistently in a positive, caring and professional manner, giving accurate information to all external and internal customers. Must have the ability to work with delicate situations in a professional, calm, and respectful comportment. Oral and written communications require sensitivity, good judgement and a caring attitude be displayed in every situation._

The value you’ll bring to the team:

+ _Responsible for specialty medication services, working closely with Senior Manager of Clinical Services and department leaders to achieve stated goals and accountabilities including productivity and quality improvement initiatives._

+ _Responsible for assuring specialty medication dispensed though Expedien Rx Pharmacy are processed in the patient management program according to accreditation standards._

+ _Work closely with Accreditations Manager and Senior Manager of Clinical Services and to guarantee that current accreditation standards are maintained._

+ _Responsible for in depth understanding of pharmacy’s services; articulates to staff to ensure goals are met with increased safety and efficiency._

+ _Understands thoroughly the AdventHealth employee prescription plan and supports the prescription benefit account team by offering support and education when communicating with staff and physician office(s) on any questions regarding formulary coverages, eligibility, prior authorization, or general plan guidelines._

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed** **:

+ Bachelor's Required

+ 3 Related Experience Required

+ Certified Specialty Pharmacist (CSP) certification within 1 Year Required

+ Current, valid State of Florida Pharmacist license or eligible for Pharmacist licensure by endorsement Required

+ Willing to obtain multiple state pharmacist licensures Required
