Operations Associate II
Operations Associate is responsible for executing daily operations and working with internal groups to design, execute and oversee the North America Plant Breeding’s Research and Development efforts.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Maintain accountability for safe and timely delivery of quality supply based on production schedules while maintaining an efficient operation. Perform duties in a manner that support overall site Key Metrics to include Safety; Quality, on-time and in-full delivery, and cost efficiency
+ Organize and execute upon research protocols and operational plans for site's day-to-day priorities.
+ Support the implementation of unique and innovative technology solutions designed to improve research design and operations success through the use of new tools and methodologies to improve overall plant breeding.
+ Handle the operation of research equipment, note taking, data management with internal IT systems, comply with regulated seed stewardship standards, complete and/or participate in safety inspections/training and comply with all policies and standard operating procedures.
+ Organize and execute day-to-day priorities of the site either independently or as the leader of a small team.
+ Train team members and seasonal employees on standard operating procedures, site and operation safety guidelines, and tool operations.
+ Serve as a point of influence within organization, supporting projects/initiatives at hub, working independently, proficient in particular areas, solid network, provide innovative solutions, possesses technical abilities, plan/direct/coordinate activities of others.
+ Maintain accountably for business unit or project results through leadership and coordination across site strategy, prioritize and monitor projects to ensure completion within deadlines and budgets.
+ Contributeto activities within the surrounding community to foster positive community relations and outreach efforts.
+ Ensure visibility and resolution of production pipeline challenges
+ Engage with site leadership to ensure aligned vision for optimal future state and reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables
+ Demonstrate subject matter expertise and autonomy in task execution. Proficiency across multiple machine platforms, tools, technologies, and workflows. Use initiative; take action in the absence of direction.

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required qualifications:
+ Valid Drivers License. In order to be eligible to drive a company car, your driving record must meet guidelines based on the company’s Risk Screening for Hiring Drivers – MVR will be reviewed as part of pre-employment screening.
+ Ability to work long hours and rotational shifts, including over-time, weekend and holiday as needed
+ Ability to lift, push, pull up to 60 pounds, work in greenhouse environment and walk on uneven surfaces
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree
Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $58,498.40 - $87,747.60. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant's location, market data/ranges, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
