Summary This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Technician/Administrative Support Work Category at the Entry/Developmental Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA OC/DISA GLOBAL - BUSINESS OPERATIONS DIVISION (ORG RN11). Responsibilities Provide control of persons entering and exiting the facility, directs to appropriate areas, and issues appropriate badges and/or access documentation. Review applicants and supporting documents provided to ensure they are complete, valid and comply with applicable regulations. Maintain customer service data as required to assist the supervisor in evaluating the quality of service being provided. Establish control and suspense dates and follows up on suspense dates to ensure required administration actions and responses are made within deadline. Reviews correspondence for compliance with agency correspondence directives. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below. Qualifying Experience: To qualify at the GG-05, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience for this position involves assisting with the development and directing the execution of all physical, information, personnel, and operations security programs, anti-terrorism, and force protection activities, as well as performing Emergency Management duties. Candidates must describe how they meet the qualifying experience and/or selective placement factor(s) within the body of their resume. All qualifications must be met within 30 days after the closing date of this announcement. Education GG-05 Substitution of Education for Experience: Four years of successfully completed education above the high school level in any field for which high school graduation, or the equivalent, is a prerequisite may be substituted to meet the specialized experience required. Equivalent combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements. To be creditable, education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university. It is being recruited under 10 U.S.C. 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system. If you are a current Federal Career/Career-Conditional employee, you will be placed on an Excepted appointment. This appointment does not confer eligibility to be non-competitively converted to an appointment in the competitive service. A three year trial period may be required if you have not previously completed a trial or probationary period in the excepted or competitive service. Telework availability will be based upon the mission requirements and supervisory determination. Individuals tentatively selected for drug testing designated positions at the Defense Information Systems Agency will be required to submit to urinalysis for illegal drugs prior to appointment or placement. This position has been identified as a Defense Security Position (DSP) in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) Manual 3305.13-M, "DoD Security Accreditation and Certification" and selectees will be required to meet the certification requirements of the Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) program. As such, the individual selected for this position must obtain and/or maintain a Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC). Upon appointment to this position selectees will have two years to meet the applicable SPeD certification requirements and will be required to sign a statement acknowledging the SFPC requirements and agreeing to permit the DoD to access and monitor the certification qualifications associated with this position. Incumbent will be required to report to work or relocate to a new duty location, within the United States, in times of local/national emergency. The incumbent may also be required to physically report to an alternate duty station during the activation of a Continuity of Operations (COOP) Plan. Employee is subject to recall or call back during off-shift hours, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, if required by upper management. Shift work required. Shift hours will be: 1st shift (0630-1500), 2nd shift (1430-2300) and 3rd shift (2230-0700).
