The MV\-75 Future Long Range Assault Aircraft \(FLRAA\) is the Premier Vertical Lift military program in the world\. Bell's MV\-75 FLRAA aircraft will become the Army's primary assault aircraft for the next 30 years, sunsetting UH\-60 Blackhawk helicopters and advancing the Army's assault capabilities\. Mission Computing Integration Team, FLRAA
The Mission Computing Integration team is responsible for IMA DO\-297 Certification and analysis, IMA Design and Testing, Data modeling \(DSDM\) of all aircraft interfaces, and Network Interface Model \(NIM\) for the Digital Backbone network\.
This team defines data interfaces across the aircraft and Integrates software into a mission computer, ensures the system meets performance requirements, modeling is compliant to FACE and MOSA requirements, and the USG customer approves qualification to DO\-297\.
**Mission Computing Integration Manager** , **Integrated Modular Avionics \(IMA\)** Responsible for guiding the development, certification, and integration of IMA systems and data definitions\. This role involves managing and coordinating a team of engineers to achieve execution goals and customer requirements\. The manager will be a team builder expected to hire and develop people to grow in this IPT\.
What You Will be Doing as the Mission Computing Integration Engineering Manager:
Direct and mentor a team of engineers in the development and implementation of IMA systems\.
Work with stakeholders to define, document, and manage system requirements, particularly in relation to DO\-297\.
Design and develop IMA system architectures, ensuring they meet safety, performance, and functional requirements\.
Develop data models in CAMEO for all data interfaces on the aircraft in accordance to FACE standards as well as bus protocols such as ARINC\-429, Ethernet \(AFDX\) and MIL\-STD 1553\.
Work with suppliers to develop integration models and work through schedule dependencies for test/certification network integration config file development\.
Work with supplier tools to efficiently generate configuration files from the CAMEO models\.
Ensure adherence to DO\-297 guidelines and Bell IMA Plans throughout the development lifecycle, including safety assessments, verification and validation, and configuration management\.
Oversee the integration of hardware and software components, conducting rigorous testing and validation to ensure system functionality and reliability\.
Collaborate with certification authorities to obtain necessary approvals for IMA systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations\.
Work closely with other engineering disciplines, including software, hardware, and systems engineering, as well as with cross\-functional teams\.
Be proficient in relevant standards and guidance, including ARP 4754A, ARP 4761, DO\-178, and DO\-254\.
Possess strong problem\-solving skills and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey technical information and collaborate with stakeholders\.
Qualifications
Skills You Bring To this Role :
Experience in development and certification of integrated avionics systems\.
Strong understanding of Integrated Modular Avionics \(IMA\) architectures, principles, and DO\-297 guidance\.
Experience with commercial and military airplane certification processes and requirements\.
Proven leadership and project management skills, including the ability to lead and mentor teams\.
Proficiency in relevant software tools, including requirements management tools, modeling and simulation tools, and configuration management tools\.
Experience with MOSA and Future Airborne Capability Environment \(FACE\) is a plus
Model Based System Engineering \(MBSE\) experience is a plus
What you need to be successful:
Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science is required\. Mechanical or Other Engineering degrees may be considered with applicable experience\.
14 years of experience in Integrated Modular Avionics \(IMA\)
Ability to gain and maintain a US Secret Security Clearance
Able to communicate directly with senior leadership inside and outside the company\.
Self\-motivated and able to track and report performance to cost and schedule\.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills \(written and verbal\)
