Data Center Facilities Maintenance Technician
**Location:** Charlotte, NC
**Pay:** $36/hr
**Schedule:** Temp-to-Perm | Rotating Day/Night Shifts (Every 2–3 Months)
**Shift Flexibility Required** – Coverage may vary based on PTO or staffing needs.
Are you a hands-on critical facilities technician with strong mechanical, electrical, and HVAC skills? We’re hiring a **Data Center Facilities Maintenance Technician** to join our team supporting a mission-critical 24x7 operation. This is a **temp-to-perm** opportunity for someone with experience in fast-paced, high-reliability environments where uptime is essential.

What You’ll Do
+ Monitor, operate, and maintain all data center systems including:
+ **Mechanical:** HVAC, chillers, CRAHs/CRACs, hot water systems, controls, and plumbing
+ **Electrical:** Generators, UPS, ATS, STS, PDUs, switchgear, power distribution
+ **Fire/Life Safety:** Alarms, suppression systems, safety controls
+ Perform preventive maintenance and inspections across all systems
+ Respond to and manage alarms, alerts, and emergency incidents
+ Maintain building automation and monitoring systems (BMS)
+ Log equipment readings, adjust controls, and report anomalies
+ Comply with safety policies, hazardous material handling, and cleanliness standards
+ Coordinate vendors, manage tickets through CMMS, and follow escalation protocols
+ Rotate shifts every 2–3 months and support the team during coverage gaps or holidays
What You Bring
Required:
+ High school diploma or GED
+ 4+ years of experience in facilities maintenance or critical infrastructure
+ Expertise in at least one trade: **HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, or Central Plant Ops**
+ Strong communication and documentation skills
+ Ability to interpret technical documents, procedures, and codes
+ Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
+ Willingness to work rotating shifts, holidays, and respond to site emergencies
+ Physically able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders (up to 30 ft), and navigate rooftops
Preferred:
+ Experience with Corrigo, MCIM, Salesforce, ServiceNow, or Zendesk
+ Prior data center or critical facility experience
+ Hands-on knowledge of UPS systems and power infrastructure

**Pay Details:** $36.00 per hour
