Job Summary: Provide full support to QCMI in all areas of Quality. Requires strong technical and analytical background coupled with good communication skills and an understanding of manufacturing processes. Focus on processing non-conformances using and maintaining quality system policies, procedures and continuous improvement techniques.
Requirements, Qualifications & Skills:
- Proficient understanding of aerospace specifications and standards, i.e., ISO, AS, ASQR, ANSI, ASME, AMS, MIL
- Basic understanding of Lathes and Mills
- Complete understanding of GD&T
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software
- Must be able to work independently, accommodate schedule pressure and multi-task.
- Must be detail oriented, organized and able to communicate well with other personnel
- Flexible (willing to take on other duties as needed)
- May need to occasionally work 8+ hours
- Must be U.S. Person within the meaning of ITAR
- Engineering Degree (preferred)
- Minimum of 2-5 years aerospace quality assurance experience (preferred)
- Comprehends English; proficient in reading and writing.
- Possesses knowledge of AS9100 standards and how it relates to this position.
- Green Belt in Six Sigma
- Root Cause Analysis certification
-Experience with CAD modeling software
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Able to work with minor supervision.
- Process products and process with quality failure.
- Performs product, process, and system audits and verify effectiveness of corrective actions that were taken.
- Responsible for the initial quality review of product non-conformances to requirements of drawings, contracts, PO’s and specifications.
- Communicate with operators and supervisors while performing Root Cause Analysis on non-conforming parts
- Draft non-conforming submittal documentation to customers for disposition, resolve and close out accordingly
- Proficient in Solidworks or other CAD modeling software
- Proficient in operating and maintaining 3D printers, with the ability to interpret CAD models and ensure parts meet dimensional and quality specifications.
- Interpret GD&T drawings, design and model product using Solidworks, 3D print product to meet design requirements, form and function
- Processing, analyzing of quality metrics, improvements and communicating results.
- Assemble and review of end-item data packages for submittal to customers.
- Quality Control: Works in partnership with the department supervisor, quality and engineering departments to ensure that product quality standards are met and maintained.
- Department Performance: Assist supervisor and work with peers to ensure your department meets budget, delivery and quality objectives. Use and practice 5S methods and lean manufacturing principles to accomplish department goals.
- Attends organization and department meetings as needed.
- Participates in any Lean or Six Sigma projects as requested.
