    Job Description

    We are seeking a highly skilled and licensed Electrician to support the ongoing maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting of a wide range of electrical systems and components. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise and experience working with high-voltage equipment, building automation systems, and various power distribution technologies. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our facility’s electrical infrastructure.

     

    **Primary Responsibilities** :

    + Execute preventative maintenance programs for electrical systems, including motors, transformers, switchgear, and lighting.

    + Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance.

    + Conduct inspections and tests on electrical wiring, circuits, and components to detect wear, faults, or malfunctions.

    + Perform electrical load testing, insulation resistance testing, and other diagnostic procedures.

    + Maintain and repair motor control centers (MCCs), variable speed drives (VSDs), unit substations, distribution panels, and related infrastructure.

    + Support and maintain building automation systems and ensure integration with electrical systems.

    + Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to prevent equipment failure and minimize downtime.

    + Document all maintenance and repair activities, test results, and inspection findings in accordance with regulatory standards.

    + Ensure work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety regulations.

    Basic Qualifications

    + TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is required

    + High school diploma or equivalent.

    + 2–4 years of prior relevant experience in automotive or heavy equipment maintenance and repair.

    + Completion of a formal training program in automotive technology or equipment maintenance.

    + Proficiency in inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a range of automotive equipment (e.g., cars, trucks, buses, motorcycles, and forklifts).

    + Experience with common diagnostic tools (e.g., motor analyzers, pressure gauges, chassis charts).

    + Ability to disassemble and overhaul engines, transmissions, clutches, and electrical systems.

    + Skilled in using standard hand and power tools for repairs and maintenance. Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, cooling systems, and electrical systems.

    + Experience performing routine and preventive maintenance tasks to reduce downtime and ensure safety.

    + Familiarity with failure analysis and troubleshooting techniques for mechanical systems.

    + Basic understanding of safety procedures, technical manuals, and regulatory standards.

    + Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical specifications and maintenance protocols.

    + Ability to work independently under limited supervision.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Certification from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) or equivalent.

    + Associate degree in Automotive Technology or a related field.

    + 4+ years of experience working on a variety of commercial or industrial vehicles.

    + Experience in performing quality control (QC) inspections and maintaining service records.

    + Demonstrated understanding of energy efficiency practices related to vehicle and equipment performance.

    + Experience with project management in a shop or fleet maintenance setting.

    + Knowledge of vehicle safety inspection procedures and compliance standards.

    + Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or fleet management software.

    + OSHA safety training or certification in lift operation or hazardous materials handling.

    Pay Range:

    Pay Range $46,800.00 - $84,600.00
