The Finance General team manages the planning and direction of finance process and activities. Activities include the efficient operation and cost-effectiveness of operating systems and programs.
This role in summary
Whirlpool Corporation is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a critical Senior Finance Analyst - Freight and Warehousing (Transportation & Final Mile) role located at our Riverview Campus in Benton Harbor, Michigan. This is a five-day-per-week onsite role. In this role, you will lead and manage Outbound Transportation and Final Mile Freight & Warehousing (F&W), covering outbound over-the-road transportation, Local Distribution Centers (LDC) Ops, and Final Mile Transportation.
You will be responsible for a budget of $650M and partner with Supply Chain Ops to support Transportation activities and 117 LDC sites. You will also influence business decisions, and demonstrate thought leadership and problem-solving skills to a senior-level audience. You will have the opportunity to work closely with internal stakeholders via direct interactions with cross-functional and cross-finance business partners managing outlooks and month-end results reporting. Your responsibilities will include
+ Lead North America Outbound Freight and LDC financial cycles, including period close, Outlook, Profit Plan, and Long Range Planning
+ Business partner to Operations leadership team
+ Drive cross-functional special projects, which may involve interaction with Supply Chain, Procurement, Accounts Payable, and the Commercial Organization
+ Special projects may include executive insights, transportation productivity analysis, RFP support, and negotiation valuation
+ Prepare materials for all key NAR Financial Meetings
+ Coach and enhance Financial literacy across members of the Supply Chain Organization
+ Serve as a leader within the supported operational team to ensure effective and timely decisions
Minimum requirements
+ Bachelor’s Degree
+ 3+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain or Business Analytics
Preferred skills and experiences
+ Degree in Accounting or Finance
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills
+ Professional presence and proven ability to lead and influence business partners and others
+ Ability to communicate and interact with all levels of the organization as well as cross-functionally
+ Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities within tight deadlines
+ System proficiency: SAP, Excel, and Google tools (sheets & slides)
