Job Summary
The Project Administrator is essential to the success of any project as they oversee its execution from inception to completion. They allocate staff for the project and design timelines for completion. They are responsible for creating and maintaining project documentation in order to successfully complete project goals. The Project Administrator also manages any changes in project goals and ensures that timelines are not adversely impacted by those changes. Following the completion of the project, they conduct a post-project review to identify areas for improvement.
As a Project Administrator at Community Health Systems (CHS) – Shared Business Operations, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our purpose to help people get well and live healthier by providing safe, quality healthcare, building enduring relationships with our patients, and providing value for the people and communities we serve.
Essential Functions
+ Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
+ Defines individual tasks and resources necessary for completion of project, and ensures availability and allocation of resources.
+ Gathers and maintains project documentation. Develops detailed project plans to monitor and track progress.
+ Coordinates with other departments to ensure all aspects of project are compatible with goals.
+ Tracks project performance to analyze the successful completion of short, medium, and long term goals and measures project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques. Ensures that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
+ Implements and manages change when necessary to meet project goals. Ensures that changes in scope, schedule, and cost are accurate by using appropriate verification techniques.
+ Prepares and delivers regular project status reports to stakeholders, including senior management.
+ Maintains detailed documentation of project progress, decisions, and changes.
+ Conducts post-project evaluation and identifies successful and unsuccessful project elements.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
+ Complies with all policies and standards.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field required
+ 4-6 years of experience in project management or a related role required
+ Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
+ Strong organizational and time management skills.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
+ Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
+ Proficiency with project management software and tools
+ Basic financial management skills, including budgeting and resource allocation.
+ Knowledge of risk management and mitigation strategies.
