Job Title: Quality Control/Research Technology Laboratory Supervisor

Summary:Provides daily support to the entire Quality Control Laboratory by setting direction for the Quality Control Lab technicians and supporting the plant’s daily needs. In addition, works with the Technologist to determine lab capabilities and research.

Responsibilities Include:

+ Manage and coordinate day to day activities of Quality Control Laboratory Technicians thru attending/conducting meetings, absence coverage, resource allocations, etc.

+ Oversee equipment and instrument calibrations to ensure running at optimum status and within current ISO designation as well as overseeing SAP, Inventory, and CoAs.

+ Responsible for training and coaching lab employees’ performance in all aspects from onboarding to computing to safety.

+ Maintain action plan for Quality Control Laboratory safety by utilizing 5S program, conducting safety audits to ensure proper housekeeping and adherence to department and plant procedures. Will participate in action items for UCR/IR investigations.

+ Will make improvements to develop the lab through revision of work instructions and troubleshooting issues that arise.

+ Will investigate and make informed decisions to improve processes working in conjunction with chemists to ensure Quality.

+ Participates and facilitates QMS internal audits, customer audits, and DQS registrar audits as well as responding to any customer quality and packaging complaints.

+ Performs all other duties as assigned.

This position demands physical stamina, requiring frequent sitting, standing, bending, stooping, crouching, twisting, turning, lifting, and movement within the facility. Walking on various surfaces and maintaining balance are essential.Strong sensory abilities, including hearing, sight, and clear speech, are necessary. Regular lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds are required. Most positions necessitate passing a fit test and wearing a respirator.The work environment is a laboratory setting. Adaptability to a traditional business environment

Qualifications:

The following are required for the role

+ 4-year science-related degree from accredited college or 10 years related experience.

+ 2 years supervisory experience in a laboratory plant environment

The following are preferred for the role

+ 4 years’ experience in research in a plant environment

+ Advanced science degree

What We Offer:Base Pay Range: $89,000 - $130,900

The actua l salary offered i s determined by factors including but not limited to education, experience, skill set s, and geography. Local geographic pay differentials may not be reflected in the above pay range and will be discussed with you by a member of the HR team when applicable . Additionally, this role is eligible for incentive or sales variable compensation payments. The amount of these incentives is based on the terms of the Company's incentive plans, the Company's financial performance, and/or individual employee job performance.
