The General Accountant is a critical role in the Company and is responsible for general accounting, monthly reconciliations, account analysis, reporting, process improvements, tax management, regulatory and compliance, … This role is also responsible to manage horizontal processes and projects such as Record Retention, Sales Tax, Income Tax, Internal Controls, Treasury, Standard Work, standard systems, SOX, Internal Controls, DMS tools and benchmarking. This position is part of the Finance organization located in Deer Park, Illinois and will be on-site. At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives.

You will be a part of the Finance Organization and report to the Director Shared Service Center, responsible for providing accounting services to LBS. If you thrive in a multifunctional, fast paced, role and want to work to build a world-class.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

+ Own completeness, accuracy and appropriateness of General Ledger. Analyze accounts, understand where adjustments are needed and manage journal entries.

+ Role model behaviors congruent with DHR Core values.

+ Manage associates within the accounting and other related areas.

+ Maintain controls in accounting and operational processes.

The essential requirements of the job include

+ Bachelor's degree in field with 2+ years exp. OR Master's degree in field with 0+ years experience.

+ Proven ability to build productive relationships and promote engagement.

+ Advance knowledge in accounting, controls, SOX, Taxes and business acumen.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements

+ 5% travel may be required

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

+ SAP

+ Cash/Treasury

The salary range for this role is $65,000-$83,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
