Summary

As an Bill of Materials Manager, you have an understanding of the heavy equipment business and have a drive for being an active part of solutions. You set the bar high and set an example for other leaders and colleagues on how to work collaboratively with the highest level of integrity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

+ Convert Sales Order Information into Manufacturing Product BOM.

+ Maintain and update links between Manufacturing Orders, Engineering BOM, and MRP BOM.

+ Maintain MRP input parameters such as Product/Item Attribute and Category Information.

+ Maintain the rules and update the bill of material structure for the sales configurator and engineering library.

+ Assist with selection and implementation of Sales Configurator upgrade.

+ Track the status changes of all BOM changes and provide weekly metric report-outs to management.

+ Coordinate engineering change orders (ECO) with Supply Chain to ensure suppliers timely execution of changes.

+ Assist with other Production Control and Purchasing projects and any other assignments as required.

+ Work with production and supply chain to create and maintain all parts routings.

+ Manage planned orders in production software.

+ Update WIP orders for any BOM changes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

+ Solid understanding of processes used in product configuration, engineered BOM, documentation control and production material/workflow.

+ Knowledge and understanding of multilevel; bill of materials.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

+ Knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically excel, and ERP systems, M3 ERP system experience is a plus.

+ Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

+ Technical, manufacturing technology or comparable degree.

+ Proven ability to organize and prioritize.

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced Team Environment.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

+ 5-10 years working in a manufacturing/production environment.

+ Experience with product configuration management process a plus.
