    **Corteva Agriscience** has an exciting opportunity for a **Reliability and Equipment Engineer** to join our team to ensure our operations run smoothly with our facilities at our Freeport, TX location that is a critical asset for Corteva’s Enlist™ program. Under the supervision of the Freeport Site Leader, you will be responsible for successfully utilizing reliability best practices to analyze facility equipment and implement improvements. The ultimate goal of this job is to provide reliability expertise to maintain a facility that safely and reliably operates equipment 24 hours a day, 7 days a week throughout the year.

    What You’ll Do:

    + Sustain and drive Corteva Asset Reliability principles, including but not limited to reliability of systems and equipment, critical equipment identification and tracking, failure mode and effects analysis, mechanical integrity and change management requirements.

    + Apply long term cost of ownership and reliability engineering principles in conjunction with the discipline teams and technical resource networks to design reliability into our purchasing requirements.

    + Actively promote and advance “Reliability Centered Culture” principles in the plant.

    + Develop and maintain a model of the unit operations, equipment, process, etc. that identifies the value of opportunities for improvement.

    + Identify gaps between facility strategy, reliability model, and existing plant performance to provide input to the facility opportunity list.

    + Own critical equipment identification for all new projects and existing infrastructure. Develop plans to ensure reliable operations of critical systems.

    + Work with project managers and facility engineers to ensure all reliability components are appropriately accounted for and documented in accordance with maintenance and operational requirements, especially by identifying failure modes, spare parts, inventory levels, and efficient/cost effective preventative maintenance plans.

    + Execute and manage reliability projects utilizing internal resources and outside contractors.

    + Provide consultation for mechanical integrity as it relates to OSHA, Corteva and other global safety institutes.

    + Develop equipment and facility end of life replacement strategies using reliability principles, e.g. ARWP, manufacture’s recommendations, and condition monitoring.

    + Create and update Reliability work processes specifications to drive strategy and create standardization.

    + Conduct RCIs (Root Cause Investigation) to investigate unplanned events.

    + Serve as primary resource for data entry into Computerized Maintenance Software (ie. SAP, Meredium) for asset management: i.e. new assets, PPMs, spare parts, failure reporting.

    + Optimize data in CMMS to ensure integrity of information needed for proper maintenance of equipment: i.e. location, model numbers, preventative maintenance, etc.

    + Optimize preventative maintenance activities by reducing frequencies, adjusting scopes, changing assigned lead, etc.

    + Provide asset tagging expertise to maintenance and engineering to ensure assets are entered into CMMS with accurate information.

    + Provide technical expertise and leadership to assist planning and scheduling to ensure work orders adhere to reliability principles, e.g. time estimates for planned maintenance work.

    • **Qualifications**

    Education:

    + Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.

    What Skills You Need:

    + 5+ years of facility, manufacturing or plant maintenance experience.

    + Effective communication with all stakeholders to achieve efficient results in your work.

    + LEAN, pro-active thinker and planner so you look ahead to solve reliability issues instead of “fire-fighting” them

    + Able and willing to walk site premises and climb ladders with or without reasonable accommodation.

    + Possess a good working knowledge of facility equipment (i.e. air handlers, boilers, exchangers, valves, rotating equipment, etc.) and metallurgies.

    + Ability to interpret technical vendor literature (i.e. Installation, Maintenance and Operation manuals) and transfer this information independently and effectively to critical work processes.

    + Working knowledge of piping systems and tools, including design criteria and standards, applicable codes and standards, P&ID, basic piping stress knowledge, Pipe specifications & materials, and construction techniques.

    + Working knowledge of piping and instrument drawings, schematics and equipment drawings.

    + Knowledgeable of standard reliability best practices and principles: i.e. RCM, FMEA, preventative/predictive technologies, and Risk-Based Inspections.

    + Able to use standard Microsoft applications - Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

    + Great time management skills including the ability to manage a substantial workload.

    + Safety-conscious mindset and have process safety management experience.

    What Makes You Stand Out:

    + Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management Software (e.g. SAP S4 Hana)

    + 5+ years of experience in maintenance/reliability (i.e. developing job plans, optimizing preventative maintenance).

    + Reliability certification, e.g. CMRP (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional) or willing to obtain a certification.
