    Description:

    Vice President of Large Employer Broker Relations will be responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing large employer business strategies to support growth, and strengthen broker stakeholder relationships throughout the Saint Alphonsus Health System service area. Develops and evaluates major employer and community collaboration opportunities and works with leadership across the system to strengthen relationships with corporations, and state and local community leaders. Develops relationships with local health insurance leaders to facilitate insurance plan growth that help support the mission of Saint Alphonsus. Communicates frequently with a broad spectrum of individuals and organizations both inside and outside of the Health System. Works with operations, finance, Alliance, and Marketing/Communication to lead system growth initiatives concentrating on increasing market share through a covered lives strategy. Collaborates with health system clinical leaders connecting them with the needs of large employers and insurers. Works to establish KPI necessary for tracking performance of our large employer contracting strategies.

    SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    + Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field required.Master’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance or Health Administration preferred.

    + Ten years of experience with progressively increasing responsibility within a complex organization/industry, preferably health care, is required, generally obtained through a combination of disciplines including finance, planning, business management and operations.

    + Must possess knowledge of the healthcare environment and key issues associated with hospitals, ambulatory care and physician alignment, in addition to an in-depth knowledge of risk management, stop-loss markets, TPA/ASO’s and employer markets.

    + Ability to work in a complex matrix reporting environment.

    + Excellent customer service orientation skills are necessary in order to deal effectively with various levels of personnel, governance, physician, patients and community group with the region and system office.

    + Strong leadership/influencing skills are required with the ability to work effectively within a system and influence others and achieve results.

    + Advanced analytical, project management and critical thinking skills and the ability to compile, analyze, interpret and integrate information and prepare and present complex information.

    + Advanced interpersonal, management and organizational skills are necessary.
