Loyola Medicine, a member of Trinity Health, is a nationally ranked academic, quaternary care system based in Chicago's western suburbs. We are seeking a **Director of Quality, Safety and Risk Management** .
The **Director of Quality, Safety and Risk Management** will lead the development and execution of a comprehensive, system-wide quality improvement and patient safety program across Trinity Health’s Illinois and Indiana regions. This role will use data and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement in clinical quality, patient outcomes, and service excellence. The Director will collaborate with leaders across departments and care sites to redesign care processes, implement evidence-based practice guidelines, and support the achievement of Zero Harm goals. They will promote a strong culture of safety through proactive risk analysis, root cause investigations, and the integration of high-reliability organizing principles into all patient care operations. The position oversees quality and safety committees and provides education to staff and leadership on improvement science and data interpretation.
This role also involves aligning staffing, systems, and resources to ensure efficient, high-quality operations while managing department budgets and performance metrics. The Director will lead human resources functions such as recruitment, training, mentoring, and performance development to maintain a skilled, engaged team. In addition, they will support strategic planning and the development of tactical goals that align with broader organizational objectives. Effective communication and relationship-building across departments, with physicians, and among executive leadership are essential, as is the ability to represent quality and safety programs to both internal and external stakeholders.
The Director is expected to stay current with industry trends, regulations, and research in quality, risk management, and patient safety, while sharing best practices through presentations and professional publications.

What you need:
Education:
+ Master's degree in healthcare administration or clinical areas; MBS, MHA, MPH or related
Experience:
+ **Required:** 5+ years of previous job-related experience
+ **Details:** Progressive managerial responsibility required.
**Managerial Experience:** 5+ years
Licensure/Certifications:
+ Preferred - CPHQ
Compensation:
Pay Range: $147,201.60 - $242,902.40 annually
_Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles._
Annual Bonus: Eligible for incentive compensation annual target as outlined in Plan Document.
