Reporting to the VP of Home Services, the Senior Director, Transportation leads the strategic vision, national oversight, and operational excellence of the transportation function across all WelbeHealth markets. This role is accountable for directing, developing, and scaling transportation operations to support the organization’s rapid growth, ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and service quality.

Essential Job Duties:

• Provide national oversight and leadership for all transportation operations, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and regulatory compliance in all regions

• Guide strategic planning and growth initiatives to develop and scale transportation services that support organizational expansion into new markets and evolving participant needs

• Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders (clinical, operations, HR, and finance) to ensure integrated, participant-centered transportation solutions

• Partner with finance to develop, manage, and oversee a national transportation budget that supports sustainability, cost control, and future investments, as well as monitor transportation costs, service level agreements, and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency

• Oversee the lifecycle of all transportation assets, ensuring proper maintenance, timely replacement, and adherence to safety and performance standards

• Oversee vendor selection, contract negotiations, and transportation provider management, ensuring scalability and high-quality service delivery

• Lead efforts to leverage data, technology, and reporting tools to optimize routing, scheduling, fleet utilization, and staff productivity

Job Requirements:

• Hybrid role (50% work-from-home & 50% national site visits)

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, transportations, supply chain management, or relevant field; professional experience may be substituted

• Must have a driver’s license for at least five (5) years with no more than one (1) moving violation or one (1) at fault accident in the last three (3) years

• Minimum of ten (10) years of transportation management experience in a supervisory role with demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team members and manage through growth, preferably in a senior care setting

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience training drivers of passenger vehicles

• Experience using computer transportation tracking systems, as well as computer literacy skills including working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook

Salary/Wage base range for this role is $168,895 - $232,231 / year + Bonus + Equity. WelbeHealth offers competitive total rewards package that includes, 401k match, healthcare coverage and a broad range of other benefits. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other qualifications.
