    _The Capital Asset Coordinator leads the implementation, administration and coordination of all campus capital and fixed assets across 54 State owned buildings._ _The position is essential to maintain all assets including furniture, fixtures & equipment (FF&E) and facility products necessary for day-to-day operations._ _Duties may include campus wide facilities planning, capital and fixed asset inventorying and management, and initiating and managing a life cycle replacement program._ _An accurate inventory list, and subsequent management of the inventory life cycle, is essential to maintain the safety and security of all patients, staff and facility visitors._

     

    _Primary Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):_

    Communication

    + Maintain an effective line of communication with supervisor, co-workers and customers keeping all stakeholders informed of project statuses and issues in a professional and timely manner to meet ongoing goals and business needs.

    + **Communicate, orally and in writing, sufficient to present final proposals and alterations to specifications and plans to individuals and groups.**

    + Strategic planning sufficient to function in a lead advisory capacity regarding capital and fixed asset needs.

    Project Management

    + **Plan, coordinate and manage multiple projects simultaneously, while analyzing and resolving specific problems.**

    + **Demonstrate organization and attention to detail.**

    + Review and evaluate business systems so that information addresses capital and fixed asset issues on multiple levels.

    + **Prepare scope statements, cost estimates and schedules for multiple projects.**

    + **Manage time effectively and prioritize own and others’ work to meet project requirements.**

    Problem-Solving

    + Identify and analyze complex and unique problems, develop recommendations for solutions; present and implement the solutions to best meet departmental needs.

    + **Must be flexible and creative in approaching solutions to problems and able to research issues quickly and evaluate alternatives.**

    + **This position is expected to exercise considerable judgement in solving day-to-day problems.**

    Minimum Qualifications

    _To facilitate proper crediting, please ensure that your resume clearly describes your experience in the areas listed and indicates each job's beginning and ending month and year._

    _One (1) year of professional experience demonstrating the following:_

    + _Collaborating with multiple stakeholders to determine needs, implement changes and improvements using strategic planning, change management and continuous improvement principles._

    + _Analyzing data with the ability to synthesize complex information and reduce it to understandable management reports._

    + _Developing and implementing policy and procedures; ability to communicate such information to multiple stakeholders in the interest of compliance._

    + Performingbudgetand processreview/analysison currentprocessesand reportingsystems.

    + Monitoring and evaluating program effectiveness, administrationneedsandprocessimprovementstoensureefficiency,effectivenessandaccuracyinrecord-keepingand reporting.

    + _Researching solutions and providing recommendations for improvements/purchases based on life cycle, fiscal, budgetary and/or cost – benefit analysis_

    + _Leading cross-functional coordination activities to develop and maintain an accurate and complete information database used for reporting across the organization._

     

    _*Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Project Management, or Operations and/or Supply Chain Management may substitute for 1 year of experience._

    Preferred Qualifications

    Experience and high-level expertise with: Archibus, B3, Access, Excel, Word, Crystal Reports, SWIFT, etc. including the ability to compile and present accurate information about capital and fixed assets, policy and procedures to all levels of involved staff.

     

    _Experience in asset, project or operations management, implementing an organization’s policies and processes to control and maintain physical assets, developing methodologies for tracking asset life cycle, inventory, locations and costs._

    Additional Requirements

    Minnesota Department of Direct Care & Treatment (DCT) criminal background check will be conducted on all finalists for this position. Finalists must pass the DCT background check.
