The Office is currently seeking an Executive Assistant to work exclusively in support of the Attorney General in a close and confidential capacity.
The Executive Assistant to the Attorney General provides broad executive level administrative support in a fast-paced office. This position requires discretion, independent judgement, strong initiative, and exceptional interpersonal and communications skills.
Some examples of the work include but are not limited to:
+ Maintain a busy and intricate calendar requiring heavy scheduling to include frequent resolving of scheduling conflicts
+ Prioritize, screen, and manage correspondence and communications
+ Provide support for and coordination of complex administrative matters including legal matter tracking, tracking deadlines, event registration, travel arrangements, expense management, and more
+ Preparing materials for meetings, projects, and work assignments
+ Full management of special projects
+ Proactive, professional communication with all executive level leadership within the office, staff at all levels of the organization, agency/department heads in government, and members of the public seeking assistance on sensitive matters
+ Coordinate and attend logistics planning meetings with or on behalf of the Attorney General with internal and external stakeholders
This position will work primarily in-person from the state capitol office.
Minimum Qualifications
+ At least 6 years’ experience supporting an executive level position
+ Proven experience managing complex calendars, travel, and confidential information
+ Advanced proficiency in Office 365 applications including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Outlook; and Adobe Acrobat
+ Strong typing, formatting, and document preparation skills
+ Expertise in:
+ calendar and email management
+ travel planning
+ meeting and event coordination
+ project management
+ Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
+ Professional demeanor, emotional intelligence, and situational awareness
+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
+ High degree of discretion and ability to handle confidential, privileged, and sensitive information
+ Demonstrated ability to:
+ manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
+ operate independently and with minimal supervision
+ set priorities, use judgment, and be flexible and adaptive with changing needs and priorities
+ Ability to operate in virtual/remote, hybrid, and in-person work environments
+ Availability outside of standard business hours, as needed
Preferred Qualifications
+ Post-secondary degree or education to enhance qualifications
+ Project management experience
+ Knowledge of the operations of a law office
+ An understanding of political processes, protocols, and experience supporting an elected official
Physical Requirements
+ Ability to move and transport such articles as files, laptop computer and resource materials weighing up to 20 pounds
